Description
The coffee Estate takes its name due to the wild life living in the mountain. El Puma is located in Mozonte, Nueva Segovia with an average altitude of 1,400 masl. The coffee farm belongs to Manuel Rosales and the main varieties produced at the farm are: Caturra and Tipica.
The plantation has a wonderful combination with the pine trees natural forest and wild life of the mountain. The Jimenez brothers have improved their processing methods and fermentation of the coffee ranging between 28 and 40 hours per batch of washed coffees. The main varieties of the farm are: Maracaturra, Maragogype, Bourbon and Caturra.
The most famous coffee plot of the Estate is known as El Barril, which has been a COE winner in 2017 and 2018.
